- Forest Management Technology is an Associate of Applied Science program
designed to train individuals in technical forest management skills and help
them develop competencies in various woodland operations. Graduates should be
able to carry out woodland activities prescribed by landowners and/or
consulting foresters and private forest industries, or they may acquire
positions as forest technicians with federal and state forestry
agencies.

Forest Management Technology - Wayne Community College has the oldest 2
year forestry technicians program in North Carolina. WCC is situated in
Goldsboro,centrally located in the eastern half of North Carolina close
proximity to both the piedmont and coastal plain. Training involves a variety
of classroom and laboratory coursework leading to an Associates of Applied
Science Degree in Forest Management Technology. Job opportunities are excellent
in North Carolina and beyond. Opportunies also exist for articulation with The

Management Technology Program - located in Georgetown, South
Carolina offers a two-year Associate Degree in Forestry Management Technology.
This five semester program exposes students to a broad base of forestry

protection, Geographic Information Systems, Global Posistioning Systems, Insect
& Disease identification, mapping, etc.

one of its kind in Virginia, is designed for persons who seek employment in
