![]() Job Description - Baraboo Hills Land Steward ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position, located in Baraboo, Wisconsin, will coordinate preserve and natural area stewardship work with an emphasis on forest management in the Baraboo Hills Project. Implements preserve management plans, which may include forestry, species monitoring and research, exotic species control, prescribed burning, boundary posting, trail and/or equipment maintenance, field trips and volunteer stewardship workdays. Create and oversee implementation of forest management plans in the Baraboo Hills. Plays key role in planning and implementing logistic plans for prescribed burns in the Baraboo Hills. Assist with prescribed burning and forest management planning at other Conservancy properties in Wisconsin. (up to 20% of time). At selected preserves in the Baraboo Hills will supervise tree plantings and manage grazing and agricultural leases. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
