Manager of Forest Operations

Position Objective:

Responsible for forest management activities on
Conservation Forestry's timberland portfolio

Overview

This is a full-time, salaried position, with an attractive benefit package. Job responsibilities include working with 3rd party forestry consultants to implement forest management plans, operations budgets, certification programs, and general property management oversight. The position will also assist in other company functions such as client reporting and acquisition due diligence.

The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in forest management and the principles of timberland investing. The successful candidate will also posses strong written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational and reporting skills, and a desire and ability to work in an environment interfacing with several stakeholder groups including conservation organizations and government entities. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere are a must.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and education. A minimum of three years professional work experience and a Bachelor's degree in forestry are required. A Master's degree in a related field (business, forestry, economics) is preferred although not required. Prior related experience will be strongly considered.
